It's a new year: what am I to expect?

HAPPY (REALLY late) 2019!

It’s well into 2019 as I write this. It's March! It's crazy! A fresh slate has well and truly begun; finally! I’m ready to make this the best year I can and I am feeling great that I can put some things behind me this year. I have to admit I’m not mad on the ‘new year, new me’ front that everyone has put on.  I do love, however, to use the new year to set goals and resolutions for the year ahead for myself. I have a number of things that I want to achieve this year.

MAKing TIME FOR HOBBIES

I am currently at University and struggle a lot with balancing my course work and placement alongside making time for myself and doing the things that I enjoy. So, from March onwards I am going to try and manage this a lot better than I previously have. This will likely be a struggle as I will be on placement and attending university at the same time for a number of weeks but I will make it work! I want to find time to attend the gym on a regular basis (around 2-3 times a week), finding time to read for pleasure and hopefully upload a blog post at least once a month!

I made a point of buying a journal so I can I can take time out of my day to focus just on myself and not worry about anything else. I specifically bought Melanie Murphy’s ‘Me Time Journal’ as it has some of her best tips and advice along with motivational quotes and pages where you can keep track of your overall health and wellness neatly in a short amount of time.

In my last couple of blog posts, I have tried my hardest to improve my photography and it is something that I really enjoyed doing so I want to continue this into 2019. I have been using my iPhone to capture my photographs so far but, I am hoping at some point this year I can buy myself a camera so I can really enhance my photography for my blog and myself.

AS MY BLOG IS ONE OF MY MAIN HOBBIES, I HAVE CREATED SOME BLOGGING GOALS;
  • Be more active on social media
  • Improve the SEO on my older posts
  • Improve my photography (already mentioned)
  • Reach 5,000 combined social media followers

What have been your goals for 2019 and are you sticking to them? I’d love to hear about this in the comments!
